創立記念日 anniversary of the establishment for my son’s elementary school

地元に住んでます。

 

 

日本語日記

息子の学校の創立110周年記念日だった。

家の近くのホールで式典見てきた。

 

私は同じ学校の卒業生で、もっといえば曽祖父も母も卒業生。

しかも曽祖父は学校の初代卒業生だったと聞いている。

 

「ソングパーティ」という名の式典だった。

それぞれの学年の子が、歌で創立記念日を祝った。

息子の学年は『小さな世界』を、日本語と英語、中国語で歌った。

とっても上手だった!

 

気づいたことがあった。

司会はふたりの女の子で、伴奏者は男の子だった。

私が小学生の時は、ピアノって言ったら女の子だったし、司会は男女一人ずつだしたもんだった。

 

学校教育はジェンダーフリーを意識してるんだ。

息子は性別や国籍とか関係なさそうだもんな。

こういうのはいいと思うわ〜。

自作の英文
It was a ceremony for 110 anniversary of the establishment for my son’s elementary school.
I went a hall where is near my home and watched the ceremony.
 
I graduate this school, to say additional a point, my great-glandfather and my mother were the graduates.
And then my great-glandfather is a one of the 1st graduates, I heard.  
 
The ceremony name is “Song party”.
Every grade students sang songs for the celebration.
These students of my son’s grade sang “It’s a small world” with Japanese, English and Chinese.
They sang very well!
 
The another hands, I was surprised.
program hosts were 2 girls.
A accompanist with piano was a boy.
 
When I was elementary school student, piano is girls hobby.
And if we selected the hosts, one of a boy and a girl were.
 
School education is becoming gender equality.
My son is free from gender and nations.
I know this happy change this day.

When I was elementary school student, piano is girls hobby.
When I was an elementary pupil, playing piano is a girl's hobby.
And if we selected the hosts, one of a boy and a girl were.
If we select the emcees, it should be a boy and a girl.
 
School education is becoming gender equality.
System of education is becoming equal in gender.
My son is free from gender and nations.
My son is free from gender inequality and racism.
I know this happy change this day.
I know that this change is for the best of today's generation.
感想

式典をceremonyとしたけど、フォーマルな言葉なので、この場合はcelebrationがいいと指導された。

フォーマル度:ceremony>>celebration.

例文を見ると、ceremonyは儀式、celebrationは式典って感じだ。

卒業生は alumni(複数形)。男子の卒業生がalumnusで女子の卒業生はalumnaと使い分ける。そして発音が難しい。

 

生徒、studentにしたら、ここはpupilよと。

前者は高校生とか大学生、後者は小学生に使う。

画像検索見ると違いがよくわかる。

ちなみにpupilは瞳という意味もあるので、単体で画像検索すると軽いブラクラみたいになったw

 

あとは司会。

chairmanとかでないし、hostかなと思って書いたら、emcee.

 

今回は狙ったわけではなく、単語の使い分けを学んだ。

なんとなく聞いたことがある単語だけど、使ってみないと実感値がなくてうまく選べない。日常表現を覚えたくて、英語日記の添削をお願いし始めたんだけど、結構いいな。
